It was an emergency declaration. President Obama announced that it was a state of emergency in the State of Washington and commissioned that federal aid should contribute to the "state and local response efforts" in regions impacted by wildfires from August 13, 2015, according to khq.

At present, the Okanogan Complex is burning the most in north central Washington. Fire officials explained that "mandatory evacuations" are in place for Tonasket, where1,000 people are residing. On Wednesday, flames overtook the vehicles of three firefighters near Twisp, Washington, after they went through a car accident.

More than 875,000 acres are in flames across the Pacific Northwest, even as 9,200 firefighters and support personnel are working hard to support homes and lives, according to opb.

President Obama authorised the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), to manage disaster relief efforts, in order to offer relief from the hardship and to assist the locals.

The counties of Asotin, Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Klickitat, Okanogan, Pend Oreille, Skamania, Spokane, Stevens, and Yakima and the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, the Kalispel Tribe of Indians, the Spokane Tribe of Indians, and the Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakima Nation have been affected.

The state is identifying and offering equipment and resources to improve and support the influence of emergency.

Emergency protective measures will be given at 75 percent federal funding.

This year, U.S. wildland fires have taken the lives of at least 13 firefighters, in which four died while on duty in 2014, the fire center said, according to newsweek.

Other states, such as Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton signed an emergency executive order to help Washington.

"Governor Dayton's Executive Order directs the Minnesota National Guard to assist with fire suppression efforts by providing for 2 UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters, along with needed personnel and equipment, for a mission to Washington State beginning today for up to 15 days. A Minnesota Department of Natural Resources helicopter operations manager will accompany the National Guard on this mission," according to ktla.
