Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green joins earlier celebrity couples who divorced for the summer this year.

In a report from US Weekly, the couple who stayed together for eleven years, have mutually agreed on the matter a few months ago.

"Megan has separated from Brian. They decided on it six months ago," an insider from the publication said.

Media outlets have now been theorizing what caused the split in their relationship which first started in the set of Hope & Faith in 2004.

According to Contact Music, the Transformers actress had not been successful in managing her time for her career and family.

She was obsessed with getting roles. She has gone off and done her own thing recently," a source said.

The source further said that the 29-year old actress had not effectively supervise a renovation project at home. With her 'never around', the renovation was not completed with his husband, the Beverly Hills actor, alone to take care of his kids and things at home.

However, like in any celebrity breakups, the couple want to be on friendly, amicable terms as they continued their parenting roles to two sons - Noah, 2, and Bodhi, 18 months.

Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green's union has never been smooth sailing since then. In 2009, three years after they announced their engagement in 2006, the couple agreed to called it off and stay apart from each other.

However, a year later, the 42-year old actor aired her marriage proposal again and finally, got the actress' hand for marriage 24 days later, USA Today said.

Fox, also revealed that, they are 'very, very different' and has considered arguments as a normal part of their relationship.

The estranged couple was last seen together having lunch on June 9 in Beverly Hills.
