Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ hit the market: Check out the features!

With much of the anticipation and the rumours that had flooded the market about the upcoming major flagships of Samsung, the company has finally launched its two new high end smart phones in the market. The Samsung S6 Edge+ and the Samsung Note 5.

Samsungs' both the major flagships were launched in a big event in New York. The devices shall be available in the market by August 2015.

The Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+ share some of the features in common. Both of the phones feature a 5.7 inch Quad HD 2560 x 1440 p Super AMOLED displays, but the S6 Edge+ has a dual screen with extended curved displays on the edges, and thus the name.

Looking at the internal specifications of the phones, the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge + are powered by a Samsung Exynos Octa Core (2.1GHz Quad = 1.5 GHz Quad), 64 bit chip and 4 GB RAM. The two will come in 32 GB and 64 GB storage variants. However, the phones do not give an option for microSD slot.

Further, looking at the media side of the phone, both the phones offer a 16 mega pixels primary camera with Optimal Image Stabilization and a mega pixels secondary camera. On the connectivity side of the phones, both of the smart phones offer Wi Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, ANT=, USB 2.0, NFC, GPS/GLONASS, and 4G LTE options. The phones even sport a fingerprint sensor and a heart beat monitor.

Both, the Galaxy S6 Edge+, and the Galaxy Note 5 operate on the Android 5.1 lollipop with a new optimised version of Samsung's Touch Wiz UI layer, and is powered by a 3000 mAh battery.
