X-Files fans, here's one for you all. To set the right mood for the revival of the 90s X-Files sci-fi series, its filmmakers have decided to include original characters like Agent Monica Reyes played by Anabeth Gish to be present in one of its episodes.

A report from TVLine said that Gish will be joining former colleagues Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) in the Fox's series set to premiere on January 24, 2016.

The report, however, said that Gish will not be returning with his co-agent and on-screen partner, John Dogget played by Robert Patrick who is busy filming Scorpion shown in another network, CBS.

Other cast members who will be featured for the X-Files revival include Mitch Pileggi, William B. Davis, Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, Bruce Harwood and Sheila Larken.

Gish is said not to hold a major role in the upcoming series and is set to appear once in the six-part Fox series.

As remembered, Gish's character Monica Reyes joined agents Dana Scully and Fox Mulder in the hunt for some alien villains in a desert in Mexico, IB Times reported.

Gish appearance in the Season 8 of the sci-fi series is said to fill up David Duchovny's absence because of an alleged contract dispute.

Reviews, that time, said that X-files fans did not love Reyes and Dogget's characters as their attempt to replace Anderson and Duchovny has been very apparent.

Aside from X-Files, Anabeth Gish also appeared in other series including FX's The Bridge, Sons Of Anarchy, Pretty Little Liars and The West Wing. She is also involved in the recently-concluded indie feature, Grass Stains according to Deadline.
