Last February, Marie Holmes won the Powerball lottery. It was a new $88 million net fortune, which she planned to put into her children, a home and charity, according to starcasm.

However, since then, she was found living in a trailer and trying to bail out her felon boyfriend, Lamarr McDow. The Inquisitr  reported that Marie Holmes was charged, along with many more, of stashing drugs when the authorities were on a search for Lamarr.

It appears that the single mother of four has spent $9 million to get her fiancé, Lamarr McDow, out of jail.

She has spent a fortune on him. However, she was in love---and that explains, even if it doesn't excuse---her act.

In Brunswick County, North Carolina, Lamarr had been arrested in November 2014 as part of a "lengthy drug investigation", having been charged with multiple crimes, including trafficking heroin and possessing 8,000 bags and wanting to distribute heroin. However, just weeks after she won the lottery, Marie, it is reported, spent $3 million on his bail.

After Lamarr, who is called Hot Sauce in his street, was released in March, he had to to wear a GPS monitoring device. Last month he did not follow that condition, so the cops probed him home and chanced upon marijuana as well as an illegal firearm---an important violation of his probation period. Marie was accused of drug possession while Lamarr was thrown back into prison with a $6 million bail.

The bail money was submitted a short while ago. No one could identify who it had been, but Marie posted the facts on Facebook...

"What Y'all need to be worried about is Y'all money and not how I spend mine this is benefitting Y'all how? And no he's no drug dealer or user but who are Y'all to judge anybody? I will definitely pray for Y'all because it's much need...they talked about Jesus so I'm not surprised Y'all are talking about me but be blessed though."

Most people are disappointed that the single mother of four---one of whom is suffering from cerebral palsy---has spent so much money on a romantic involvement with a criminal.

Lamarr is waiting for trial. Marie will address her charge on September 8, 2015.
