Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux finally got married after three years of engagement.

According to People, the couple held the intimate wedding ceremony in Bel Air home in California with 75 invited guests who are, at first, made to believe that they are attending a birthday celebration.

"Guests were told it was a birthday party for Justin. Jen and Justin wanted to surprise guests and guests were certainly surprised," a source said.

The wedding took place in the celebrity couple's backyard aimed to give a laidback atmosphere but at the same time showcasing an elegant seating arrangement and setup in the venue.

The audience of the intimate ceremony is mostly composed of close friends of the Leftovers star and her bride. Most of them are Hollywood celebrities like Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow, as well as Chelsea Handler, Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky Stern, Jason Bateman, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Will Arnett, Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer, Lake Bell and Scott Campbell, Terry Richardson, Jimmy Kimmel, Billy Crudup, Sia, Kathryn Hahn and Whitney Cummings.

The celebration is said to have lasted until 3am with the Courtney Cox as the last to leave among the guests.

TMZ via The Guardian described the photos in the wedding reception as 'odd' due to the pretense of throwing a massive birthday party.

"..if it was just a birthday party for Justin ... why have 2 people on the cake?" the news source said.

TMZ further described the guests as a herd of 'deer-in-the-headlights of the paparazzi's flash.'

Jen and Justin's wedding is also described as a 'warm house party' with very few closest friends who shared laughs and tears for the new couple, US Weekly said.

This is Justin Theroux first wedding and Jennifer Aniston's second wedding after she split from her first husband, Brad Pitt in their expensive 2000 wedding said to cost at $1 M.
