Chris Brown and Rihanna still keep a special relationship even after their breakup in 2011. Recent reports said that RiRi has been Breezy's confidant in his recent troubles particularly in his fight to gain custody over his daughter, Royalty.

According to International Business Times, the BBHMM hitmaker has always been open to communicate with his ex-boyfriend and has given him advices.

"First, she told him he's an incredible father. She told him to keep his head up and continue to tour," a source said.

Brown's worsening relationship with Royalty's mother, Nia Guzman, has dampened his spirit to go on with his tour and would rather spend time with his baby.

"He told her he's sad and he cries himself to sleep at night because Nia's deprives him of seeing Royalty. He even told her he hates touring right now because he'd rather spend time with Royalty."

To further materialize her support, the songstress bought the father and daughter matching diamond earrings.

"You and Royalty keep shining bright like a diamond," the note that comes together with the earrings said. RiRi is said to have been using her signature 2012 song, "Diamonds" in her message.

Another report from Hollywood Life said that Rihanna is ready to fight with Chris in court once Nia Guzman will take their fight for custody to the next level.

"She would go to these lengths so he could see his child. Rihanna told Chris that she'll "ride for [him] until [she] dies(s)," claims an insider who further said that Rihanna's determination to help him made Breezy 'shocked' and stunned.

Meanwhile, in another interview with Tim Westwood following his performance in Cyprus, the Kiss Kiss singer admitted that he feels a deep connection with the songstress, The Inquisitr said.

"She's my homie though. We knew each other since we were 14, 15 so with that kind of history, we are always going to be cool. I don't get jealous, I don't get mad. I got nothing but love and respect for her."

As for his recent cover of the singer's BBHMM in a Macau club, Chris Brown said that the act is a way to show that he respects her.

"I respect her as an artist. Obviously people are going to make a spectacle, like, 'Oh, he's playing her music!' But who doesn't? I'm pretty sure she plays my music."
