Will Smith released a statement on Facebook in response to the trending report that he and wife of 17 years are divorcing.

In a statement via BBC UK, the Men in Black actor said, "Under normal circumstances, I don't usually respond to foolishness (Because it's contagious). But, so many people have extended me their 'deepest condolences' that I figured - 'What the hell... I can be foolish, too! So, in the interest of redundant, repetitious, over & over-again-ness... Jada and I are... NOT GETTING A DIVORCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He further added that his fans should get the news directly from him, "I promise you all - if I ever decide to divorce my Queen - I SWEAR I'll tell you myself! #Dumb People Should Have to Wear Scarlet D's."

Jada Pinkett Smith posted on Twitter moments after her husband shared the message on his social media page, US Magazine reported.

"My king has spoken," the Magic Mike actress said.

Divorce rumors for the couple has been there for years with the actress saying that she had to be strong amidst them.

"Every year there's a new one. And I'm like, 'Here we go. Get ready. Are ya holdin' on tight?" she said in a previous interview.

However, the recent rumors first came from Radar Online on Sunday which said that the two are keeping 'a façade' through these years, Sydney Morning Herald said.

"For Will and Jada, holding it together these past few years has been tough because their marriage has been on life support for a long time. They're exhausted from trying to maintain the façade of a happy union," a source told the publication.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are parents of young music artists, Willow Smith, 14 and Jaden Smith, 17.
