According to Windows expert Paul Thurrott, Microsoft's Surface Pro 4 could release this October.

The Surface 4 is expected to have a 12 inch screen with 2K pixel resolution, skylake CPU, USB Type C port, stylus, keyboard accessory, type 3 cover and docking station.

Phone Arena has reported that Skylake will be a lot faster and more efficient than its predecessors.

Experts speculate that the camera in Surface 4 will come with the facial recognition option of Windows 10.

To make this possible, the device uses several layers of 3D cameras to authenticate the biometrics of the user's face.

Up until now, only top tier products have used this technology and if it has been successfully incorporated into the Surface 4, it could pave the way to making this technology mainstream.

The device is also rumoured to come in two different sizes - 12 and 14 inch display screens. Surface 4 may also come in a 16 GB RAM with a storage capacity of 1 TB.
