Nearly six months ago, New York magazine started contacting the women who came forward and accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault. But back then the number of revealed victims were much lower than it is now.

There are currently total of 46 women who came out to the public and accused the famous actor and comedian for sexually assault them. Over the years, and even decades, there have been numerous reported incidents and as well as rumors, about Cosby's sexual conducts. However he was never officially charged with any of the crimes he allegedly committed.

Since the magazine launched its project six months ago, the number of women who decided to share their stories with the media, regarding sexual assault allegations against Cosby, have skyrocketed, Complex reported.

The essay from the New York magazine said: " This project began six months ago, when we started contacting the then-30 women who had publicly claimed Cosby assaulted them, and it snowballed in the same way that the initial accusations did: First two women signed on, then others heard about it and joined in, and so on. Just a few days before the story was published, we photographed the final two women, bringing our total to 35," reported by Complex.

One of the 35 women who shared their stories and were photographed for the magazine was Chelan Lasha. Lasha publicly accused Cosby last year, saying that she was drugged by him when she was only 17. She told Complex that she is no longer afraid and that now she feels more powerful than him.

The stories of the 35 women and the staggering details they shared during the interviews were featured separately in the magazine but all women appeared on the cover together. The cover was titled: "Cosby: The Women, An Unwelcome Sisterhood."

Complex reports New York magazine says that many of the 35 women are believed to know some others that also have been victimized by Cosby but they are not coming forward yet.
