Mariah Carey Divorce Update: Nick Cannon Rejects Diva's Bid to Take Twin Kids to New Boyfriend's Home

Nick Cannon has no wish to let his wife Mariah Carey take their twin four-year-olds to Australia, so that they can meet the family of her new billionaire boyfriend, James Packer, according to latinpost. 

He has made Mariah aware of the facts completely. "He's always been worried about Mariah drinking around the children, and I'm sure he will use that to his advantage," a source said. "There is no chance those kids will be leaving the country."

Earlier this year, both Carey and Packer were said to be on a "fast-track" and shifting towards marriage. Thus, OK magazine is clear that the billionaire Australian businessman has told the "Hero" singer that he would get her "a large estate on Capri, Italy" after they get married.

''He's planning on buying out a large section of Capri -- her favorite place in the world -- for a sky's-the-limit wedding,'' a source said.

Both Carey, 45, as well as Packer spent Fourth of July in Las Vegas even after they flew back, after he spent some time in his huge yacht in the Mediterranean.

Many media outlets report that the couple ventured to Israel during their extended vacation for a "pre-engagement spiritual meeting" with Packer's longtime religious adviser.

Carey and Cannon were married for six years before he recently filed for divorce. She has also been married to record label executive Tommy Mottola. As for Packer, a source added, ''Mariah is having a lot of fun being courted. It's very different than when Nick Cannon was wooing her. To her, Nick was a boy. James is a man."

Since his split from Carey, 34-year-old Cannon has been romantically linked to Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Jessica White, entertainer Amber Rose and Eddie Murphy's ex-wife Nicole Murphy.

Nick filed for divorce from Mariah, and asked for $30 million divorce settlement that she refused. He is writing a book on her, clear that he plans to "get his payday for being married to her one way or another". He declares that she cannot fight against it, as he has signed the deal with a major publishing company called Simon and Schuster, according to dailymail.
