Lil Wayne and Birdman's feud over contract issues is a lot more serious than people thought.

Based on allegations from an indictment filed in Cobb City for Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, the guy who was arrested for firing at Lil Wayne's tour bus in Atlanta back in April, rappers Young Thug and Birdman are under suspicion of being involved in a plan to murder Lil Wayne.

The documents revealed that immediately after Winfrey, who is better known as PeeWee Roscoe, shot at the bus, he had phoned a number owned by Birdman. Winfrey then headed to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel where Lil Wayne's entourage was staying at after the shooting. Although the cops did not say anything regarding Winfrey's stop at the hotel, it is insinuated that he went there to finish the job.

"After Atlanta Police discontinued their escort, [Winfrey] and fellow Blood Gang members entered Interstate 285 from Atlanta Road in Cobb County in pursuit of the buses occupied by [Lil Wayne's] group," the indictment read. "The white sports car pulled beside the buses, shots were then fired into the buses from the sports car with a .40 caliber handgun and a 9mm handgun."

The indictment was first reported by Atlanta's Channel 2 Action News.

Winfrey used to be Young Thug's tour manager. Birdman and Young Thug have not been charged at all. However, it appears that the cops are making ties between Winfrey and the two rappers. Young Thug and Birdman have not commented on the latest reports.

Winfrey was arrested on June 2 and charged with "aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, criminal damage, possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal gang activity, reckless conduct and discharging a weapon near the street," reported by the Atlanta Journal Constitution.

Lil Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money Records, which was founded by Bryan "Birdman" Williams and Ronald "Slim" Williams. The lawsuit claimed that Birdman purposely delayed the release of "The Carter V" and had refused to pay Lil Wayne money.
