Demi Lovato Shares Positivity With Fans; Encourages Them To Love Their Curves
Demi Lovato spreads a positive message about loving one's body in an Instagram post on Saturday.
The 22-year old who had past struggles with bulimia posted on her social media page saying, "Learn to lurrrrrvveee yerrrrr currrrrvveees," ET Online reported.
She also added that her 35-year old boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama has helped her a lot in accepting her figure.
"I actually used to hate them... But then a special someone helped me learn how to love them... And he sure loves them.... #squats. #COOLFORTHESUMMER"
The post goes with a photo of the songstress in a sexy summer, floral jump shorts exposing her ample thighs.
Demi's body issues have made headlines in 2010 and in those times, she never failed to give credits to her boyfriend for continuously for his moral support.
While in her program to treat eating disorders, the singer talked about Wilmer's support for her in an interview.
"It's been difficult. I almost went back to rehab for my eating disorder last summer. I was obsessing over food and terrified of it at the same time. Wilmer noticed and called me out on it, which was a relief," she said as reported by Mail Online.
And to show his support for her girlfriend's thigh-exposing photo on Instagram, the 70s Show actor hit back saying, "Ummmm you are cooler for more than just the summer honey!!... #Legs #IWannaBeAChair."
Meanwhile, the former child actress also acknowledged the help she got from others who made her stronger in her battle against bulimia.
"But having people who are professionals as well and not relying on just one person is another key to maintaining a healthy recovery. I talk to my therapist. I'm actually in AA, so I reach out to my sponsor. I talk to the people around me, like the people on my team. I vocalise a lot of what I need and they're very understanding. I'm very grateful for that," she said via Business Standard.
Demi Lovato is currently promoting her album Cool For the Summer, a hash tag that can be found in most of her recent photos on Instagram.
