Mortal Kombat X graphic detail of bone-crushing finishes have gathered it a cult following. However owners of previous generation consoles have been left out.

The game launched for PS 4, PC and Xbox One earlier this year, with a promised launch for PS3 and Xbox 360 in March. That date was later pushed to July, reports Yibada. However with no word from the game's developer NetherRealm, previous generation console owners have little to hope as the game is unlikely to be launched before fall, given that the game-maker reportedly plans to introduce additional updates

Since the game's launch, NetherRealm Studio released three DLC updates as part of the Kombat Pack, the latest being the Predator DLC. The last in the pack is said to be Tremor DLC, which is expected to arrive in August, if previous DLC releases are any indication. The Studio is also said to be planning a Kombat Pack 2.

As Tremor DLC is expected to launch in August, the release of the game for previous generation consoles is more likely to be pushed to fall. However, if the game-maker indeed decides on releasing a Kombat Pack 2, the game launch for PS3 and Xbox 360 could be further delayed to the end of the year.
