Rapper 50 Cent has been ordered to pay $5 million dollars to the woman who sued him for posting a sex tape of her online.

The jury had deliberated for more than an hour before concluding that 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, must pay $2.5 million in damages and $2.5 million for emotional distress.

"It was like someone had just took a knife, stabbed me in the heart, twisted it and took it out," the victim, Lastonia Leviston testified during the trial.

The monetary penalties could be increased next week when the jury will decided on the punitive damages. For the punitive damages, the jury will look at all of 50 Cent's financial net worth statements as well as his tax returns within the past five years. These documents should help the jury decided on the amount of money he should pay to the victim.

50 Cent uploaded and doctored the sex tape, which went viral in 2009. In the clip, 50 Cent added his own character, "Pimpin' Curly' as well as a profanity-laced narrative while Leviston and her ex-boyfriend, Maurice Murray were engaging in sexual relations. The added narrative referred to Leviston as a "bitch," "ho" and "a mother***** porn star."

50 Cent did not show up to testify in the trial. He also was not present when the verdict was read.

50 Cent has an estimated net worth of between $150 and $500 million.
