Giuliana Rancic will be retiring from her day-to-day anchor post with E! News starting on Monday, Aug. 10. The 40-year-old television personality will remain as a co-host on the network's Fashion Police and Live From the Red Carpet.

Rancic will be taking the time to focus on her other ventures. Her statement read:

"For more than a decade, I was fortunate enough to play a role in the success of E! News and will miss my family at the show. At the same time, I am excited to not only continue as host of two major franchises on E! but also executive produce the aspirational new show Rich in Faith for Oxygen as well as take my wine and clothing lines to the next level. This is such a thrilling time for me and I thank the gang at E! for understanding my desire to embark on this next chapter in my life."

"During her time here, Giuliana played an instrumental role in building E! News into a global entertainment news powerhouse and, while we will miss seeing her on set every day, we are delighted to continue to work with her on Fashion Police and Live From the Red Carpet," Adam Stotsky, E! general manager and president of Esquire Network, stated.

Rancic was recently the subject of controversy after she made remarks on Fashion Police about actress Zendaya Coleman's dreads at the Academy Awards red carpet.

Rancic had said, "I feel like she smells like patchouli oil ... or maybe weed."

Zendaya spoke out against these comments and Rancic issued a very heartfelt apology on air. Kelly Osbourne, who was a co-host of the show at the time, quit shortly after the remarks were made. Osbourne is also friends with Zendaya.

Aside from getting backlash for her comments, Rancic has also been heavily criticized for her thin physique. She explained to PEOPLE that her body is no longer the same after beating breast cancer.

"I'm sorry that some people think I'm disgustingly skinny, as they put it, but there's nothing I can do," she said. It's really hurtful. Some people were saying, 'The cancer is probably back,' and they were accusing me of every eating disorder. I started noticing that I was eating a lot, but not gaining weight at all. I was concerned."

She added, "I look in the mirror and it's hard for me. I am really thin. I want to look fit and beautiful and sexy, and I can't."

Rancic is married to Bill Rancic. The couple has one child together, Edward Duke, who will be turning three-years-old next month.
