Sam Smith recently refute earlier reports saying that that he will be the voice behind the next James Bond film, Spectre.

"People seem to think I'm doing it but I have no idea what's going on. I'm being deadly serious. I think I would know by now," he said in a Capital FM Radio interview as reported by Design Trend.

He also said that he was not informed by any James Bond 24 staff that he is singing the movie theme.

"I heard Ellie Goulding was going to do it," he added.

Rumors have been circling around since last year asking who will sing for the 24th James Bond. Among the candidates considered are Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora and Lana del Ray who made a name for singing in films "Big Eyes" and "The Great Gatsby," Latin Post said.

The Guardian also mentioned One Direction as one of those considered for the job.

Ed Sheeran earlier declined claiming that his voice 'lacked balls' and is 'too wet' for a James Bonde film.

However, during the interview, the 22-year old Grammy Award winner, openly expressed his wish to sing a James Bond theme like what his fellow Brit singer, Adele had done in Skyfall, according to Channel 24.

"I'd love to do it. It'd be a dream to do."

Meanwhile, former Oasis front man Noel Gallagher, previously admitted that he would love to compose a song for the next Bond film.

"I would do it if I was asked. I would do it in a heartbeat."

"And I could do it and it would be great, but I'm not a star and for that you have to be a big star. You have to be someone in America."
