Bill Hudson responded with strong words after his son Oliver Hudson had referred to Father's Day as 'Abandonment Day' earlier this month.

During an interview to Daily Mail, Bill Hudson, 65, who is the biological father of actress Goldie Hawn's children Kate and Oliver Hudson said that he longer considers his two kids to be related to him.

Thirty eight year old Oliver, known for his roles in Nashville and Rules of Engagement had sent a childhood photo of himself, Kate and Bill to his sister with the caption "Happy Abandonment Day....@katehudson."

Kate Hudson was later seen posting a Father's Day greeting to Kurt Russell who is Hawn's long-time partner and referred to him as 'Pa.'

"I say to them now, 'I set you free,' " Bill said. "I had five birth children [including three from another relationship], but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own."

"I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name," Bill continued. "They are no longer a part of my life. Oliver's Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate. I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth."

Bill also spoke about Hawn and said that the actor didn't have anything bad to say about him when they split in 1980 after 4 years of marriage.

"But when Kurt came on the scene, the narrative changed, and I became the big, bad wolf," said the actor and former member of The Hudson Brothers. "I would say to her, 'Goldie, why are you trashing me and saying I'm an absent father when it's simply not the case?' and she'd laugh and go, 'Oh Bill, you know it makes for a better story.' "
