Has 'Five Nights at Freddy's 4' Scott Cawthon changed the fourth installation's release date?

Fans have been left guessing after the last teaser image with a purple hat and bowtie did not carry a date. Unlike previous teaser images this one does not have 10-31-15 that indicated a Halloween release for the game. Given that previous iterations of the game have seen their release dates changed, fans are not discounting the possibility while they are hoping that the game, possibly the last in the series, is not delayed.

Design & Trend also picked up other fan discussions about the mysterious teaser image. As it does not reveal character details, fans have speculated the existence of a hidden message in the image, which is not visible to the naked eye. The message could indicate that the fourth installation will have something to do with the Fazbear entertainment location that was mentioned in the second iteration of the game.

Speculation is also rife that purple color of the hat and the bowtie indicates the existence of a fierce Purple Freddy. Five Nights at Freddy's 3 had a Purple Freddy that guided animatronics in death mini-games. The character could reappear.

With the teaser revealing very little, more fan speculation is expected to sustain the frenzy around the game's release.
