Canon recently unveiled a new camera, Powershot G3 X that boasts a remarkable 25x zoom (equivalent to a 24mm-600mm focal length range). In simple words, it can take really great pictures of stuff that's very far away.

PowerShot G3 X is also equipped with image stabilization that would help with telephoto shots.

Among other major features, the camera has gotten 20.2 megapixel sensor, 3.2 inch LCD display, 1080p video recording, high-speed shooting modes and on-board Wi-Fi and Near Field Communication (NFC).

The rear display is hinged, and can tilt to face at a downward angle, or all the way forward for selfies. Continuous shooting is supported at 5.9fps, with no frame limit when capturing JPGs. G3 X's sensitivity to light can be set from ISO 125 through 12800.

PowerShot G3 X has 31-point focus system that tracks action as it moves. It's coupled with a hybrid digital/optical stabilization system that steadies the lens on 5 axes.

The Canon PowerShot G3 X is going to go on sale in July for $999.99.
