Tyra Banks Instagram Update: Top Model Judge Unmasks Makeup Less 'Raw' Face Online

Tyra Banks dared to bare her 'raw' face without make up or filter on Instagram on Tuesday regardless of the bashing from the virtual community that she may receive.

A copy of the 41-year old's Instagram photo was shown on Mail Online. It was originally posted on Tuesday with the caption saying:

"You know how people say #no filter but you know there's a freakin' filter on their pic? Or maybe there's a smidge of retouching going on but they're lying and saying it's all raw & real? Well, this morn, I decided to give you a taste of the really real me. I wanted to smooth out my dark circles so badly!!! But I was like, "Naw, Ty. Show 'em the REAL you. 'So...here I am. Raw. And there YOU are...looking at me, studying this picture. Maybe you're thinking, "Whoa, she looks ROUGH." And if you are, great! You deserve to see THE real me. The really real me. #RawAndReal," the supermodel said.

The photo displayed Banks unrecognizable face with a wacky stare further exposing uneven skin tone, dark circles under her eyes. It is said to have gained 49,500 from her followers in just an hour.

The model and makeup entrepreneur has made a career for boosting the self-esteem among young girls and contestants of her show Next Top Model.

In a previous event, Tyra also revealed the real look of her hair in an episode in a chat show, Stuff.co.nz said.

She also once addressed rumors from tabloids speculating about her supposed weight gain in 2008.

Meanwhile, Tyra Banks admitted that she also has no conflicts in using photo editing apps like Facetune in enhancing photos, People said.

"I love that at the touch of the button anybody could do it on their smart phone. Girls may be like, 'I'm so insecure. Tyra's butt looks like that," she told the news outlet.
