Scott Cawthon is known to be a riddle-master but his ardent fans are no less smart. This time however, the game maker may have just gotten the better of his fans.

Cawthon, who is known for making Five Nights At Freddy's series, recently released a teaser image of the game's fourth installation. The image shows a hat and a bowtie. According to Christian Today, the latest teaser is the trickiest image that the game-maker has posted.

Avid gamers think the image shows very faint text that reads 'property of Fr---er' which could indicate Fredbear's Family Diner. Then there is the subtle shadow cast around the hat and bow. Fans have reportedly interpreted the shadow as Freddy's face with a set of large sharp teeth. The previous teaser images of Five Nights at Freddy 4 had images of game characters with questions 'Was it me' and 'or me' that led fans to believe the game could take them back in time.

The new teaser image has convinced fans that the past will reveal details of the of the gameplay's location, the diner. The storyline of game is based on murders that took place at the location.

That the game is delving into the past has fans excited, but also disappointed; the fourth installation's portrayal of the past is being interpreted as the series' end. However Cawthon has not made an official statement whether there will be a Five Nights at Freddy 5, which should keep the spirits up even as fans await release of the fourth installation scheduled for Halloween.
