Toronto will soon be  hosting an event that is very first of its kind; an orgy for disabled people, according to the Toronto Sun. The organizer, 35-year-old, Stella Palikarova describes the event as historic, saying "The Berlin wall of sex for people with disabilities is coming down," according to the Sun.

Palikarova is a disability awareness consultant who came up with the idea and has decided to do something after feeling overwhelmed with common assumptions such as "wheelchair-bound individuals have less sexual desire." She also notes that she was tired of bumping into physical barriers everywhere including in her living place, work place, and on the street. She wanted to create an opportunity and space for disabled people where they can express their sexuality without being have to deal with obstacles and prejudice.

Palikarova, who is also in a wheelchair due to spinal muscular atrophy, said "By making this party accessible, we are saying openly that people with disabilities are sexual beings and not only in more conventional ways. This should not be shocking, this should be celebrated," the Sun reported.

The organizer of the event also added that people who look down on to such events are basically envious. "The naysayers are just subconsciously hating the fact that people in wheelchairs are having great sex-better sex than a lot of people are having," she told the Sun.

The event will take place August 14, with a capacity of 125, and it is not exclusive to disabled people, all are welcome! It will be a masquerade ball which enables participants to disguise themselves behind a mask if they want to. The entrance fee is $20 but caretakers can get in for free. There will also be an interpreter for the deaf on the premises.
