Xiaomi, also called 'Apple of China' is reportedly preparing the next version of its flagship smartphone - Mi5.

According to reports, the Xiaomi Mi5 will get a bigger 5.5-inch display and could include a QHD or 2K (2560 x 1440) resolution screen.

The Xiaomi Mi5 is also rumored to boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. If it happens for real, it will be placed among one of the top smartphones of the year. Xiaomi has already included Snapdragon 810 in Mi Note Pro so chances are that the company will repeat the same for its flagship as well.

Among other details include a 16MP primary camera with OIS, and 8MP selfie shooter.

Rumors also suggest "ultrasound" sensors which reportedly last longer and are more durable than optic sensors in fingerprint sensors.

The smartphone will expectedly sport a thinner design.

However, these are just rumors, and readers are advised to take these with a pinch of salt.
