Snoop Dogg is not too happy about the attention Caitlyn Jenner has been receiving since her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair's July issue.

The rapper stated that Jenner's story is not "major news." He also called Jenner a "science project." Based on Snoop's Instagram post, it seems like the 43-year-old wants more attention to be given to his friend Akon and his charity work.

Snoop posted an image of his friend with the message, "Shout out to Akon! He is about to supply 600 million africans with solar power. Im really upset that this isn't major news but that science project bruce jenner is #Society."

Jenner, who was known as Olympian Bruce Jenner before her transition, has been a hot news topic. After living as a man for more than 50 years, Jenner officially revealed earlier this year that he is transgender and wants to become a woman. Now that his transition is complete, Jenner will live life as a woman.

Snoop was not the only person to criticize the amount of attention Jenner was getting. Actor Tom Cruise’s son Connor argued that Jenner should not be honored with the Arthur Ashe Courage Award at the 2015 ESPYs because there are several other more important topics.

The 20-year-old tweeted, which has since been deleted, "Really?? Winning the AA award for courage?? Ashton is gonna come out and yell PUNK'D. Don't get me wrong. Do what you feel like doing and don't let anyone stop you. But everyone is taking this way too seriously...There are so many more important things that should be talked about...And SO MANY MORE IMPORTANT PEOPLE that actually deserve an award.

He added, "Like the fact that we are overfishing and in 30 years there will be no more fish. Seems dumb but 85 percent of the worlds protein is fish. That's one of thousands of things that should be of a higher importance than what is currently being gone over...Or what about the fact that our planet is becoming less habitable on a daily basis. Yet the population is increasing at an alarming rate...Or the fact that we all can't even get a long on earth lol. We fight and kill each other. We have war and poverty. This needs to change."

Since Jenner appeared on the cover, she has received a lot of support from family and other celebrities.
