Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will have several weapons next season with running back Adrian Peterson and tight end Kyle Rudolph returning. On top of these two offensive players, Bridgewater will also have new addition, Mike Wallace.

"I'll tell you, what's even a better addition is have Kyle Rudolph back healthy," Bridgewater told Matt Vensel of the Star-Tribune. "He's like a whole new player on the team."

Bridgewater, who was a rookie last year, has never played with a fully healthy Rudolph, who suffered from knee and ankle injuries. He also had to go through sports hernia surgery. In 2012, however, Rudolph had 53 catches for 493 yards and nine touchdowns.

"You see what my position is capable of in this offense," Rudolph said. "I've proven that throughout the course of a 16-game season, when I'm out there every week, I'm one of the best players at my position."

Bridgewater also talked about wide receiver Wallace being a "great addition to the team."

He added, "We're glad to have Mike, he's going to add some speed to that room and all of those guys are going to continue to elevate their games."

Wallace just finished his second practice in Minnesota.

"It seems fun to me," Wallace said about offensive coordinator Norv Turner's system. "It's a vertical offense. I always have fun scoring long touchdowns. So, we'll see. It's early. It's the second day of practice. We have a long way to go."

Head coach Mike Zimmer only had good things to say about Wallace.

Zimmer stated, "I know he's a dynamic receiver and he's been doing a great job of working. He's a guy that works very, very hard. He's been catching the ball well. He's been learning the playbook. All of these things are all different, but he's looked good."

Bridgewater will have veteran Peterson to rely on as well. Although Peterson has not played in a game since early last season, he has been a very dominant player throughout his career. Peterson participated in the team workouts for the first time in this offseason on Tuesday.

"We tried to get him acclimated on the things that were going. He's going to have to put in some more work time as far as all that," Zimmer said. "But there's really not a prettier sight when he's got the ball in his hand, you know?"

Zimmer added, "I do believe that we can be very, very explosive. I think to have a talented running back with a talented quarterback and talented receivers and some good tight ends, I think that we can spread the field and it can be good for everyone."

The Vikings finished 7-9 last season.
