A 21 year old women from Vermont was hospitalized after a Black Widow spider crawled out of a bag of grapes and bit her.

The women who was treated in the University Of Vermont Medical Center will have to now be monitored for months.

The girl got bitten after the spider crawled up her arm when she reached for the bag of grapes.

Her family then caught the spider and brought it to the hospital to help doctors with the diagnosis.

The grapes were purchased from a supermarket in Colchester. The representatives from the store are now doing a thorough inspection of their produce.

They will also be getting in touch with their suppliers to ensure incidents like these do not occur in the future.

Black widow spider bites although not lethal are known to cause breathing difficulties. Other related symptoms include nausea and muscle aches.

This is not the first time spiders have found their way to a supermarket. In 2013, a family in Britain was forced to leave their home after killer spiders from South America were found in it.

The Brazilian wandering spiders were found in a bag of bananas which they brought from the supermarket. They are even more venomous than rattle snakes and a bite can kill a person within 2 hours.
