Who will have a better season, Minnesota Vikings Teddy Bridgewater or Oakland Raiders Derek Carr?

Comparisons between the two rookie quarterbacks have been made throughout the offseason. The pair was selected just four spots apart from one another with Bridgewater being the 32nd overall pick and Carr the 36th in the 2014 draft.

While many are already predicting each quarterback's performance for this upcoming season based on their offensive weapons, Master Tesfatsion with the Star Tribune, compared the players' rookie season and concluded that Bridgewater was the superior quarterback.

Bridgewater wrote, "Both franchises should be pleased with the way the 2014 NFL Draft played out because they snagged franchise quarterbacks with the 32nd and 36th overall picks. However, once you watch the film on both quarterbacks, it's clear Bridgewater had a better year. He was more consistent given the adversity both quarterbacks had to face all season.

Again, that's not a knock on Carr either. I came away impressed after watching what he did with the talent around him. He should continue to get better now that the Raiders drafted a No. 1 weapon like wide receiver Amari Cooper, who will be an immediate impact player."

NFL Fantasy also debated who will be the best sophomore quarterback in this upcoming season and the five analysts were pretty much split on the Carr-Bridgewater front.

NFL Media Senior Fantasy Analyst Michael Fabiano and NFL Media Writer/Editor Alex Gelhar both agreed that Bridgewater would have a better season.

Fabiano wrote, "[Bridgewater] showed flashes of potential as a rookie, and the (expected) return of Adrian Peterson will only add to his sleeper appeal. Bridgewater will also have a deep threat in newly-acquired Mike Wallace in addition to incumbent receivers like Charles Johnson and Kyle Rudolph."

Gelhar added, "'Teddy Two Gloves' was one of the most efficient quarterbacks in the NFL over the final month of the 2014 season... Don't let Bridgewater's stats from 2014 fool you. He should make a big leap in Year 2.

NFL Fantasy LIVE Host/NFL Media Reporter James Koh and NFL.com writer Adam Rank picked Carr because his skills mixed with the top receiver prospect this year, Amari Cooper, will make them a real threat this season.

Koh argued, "Not only does Derek Carr have a legit stud wideout in Amari Cooper, but the Raiders went out and pillaged their bayside neighbors, signing Michael Crabtree, who should be a super-solid No. 2 option."

Rank echoed Koh's reasoning for picking Carr. NFL Media Fantasy Editor Marcas Grant took a different route and picked Blake Bortles with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Grant stated, "In the second half of the season, the Jaguars quarterback actually had a higher points-per-game average than Carr. While the Amari Cooper selection will earn Carr and the Raiders a lot of attention, Bortles will have the luxury of a second season with a trio of young, talented receivers. Not to mention that Jacksonville added one of the NFL's most athletic tight ends by signing Julius Thomas away from the Denver Broncos."

If all of these quarterbacks live up to the hype, the 2015 season should be an exciting one.
