George Clooney: I was Intimidated by Amal When I first Met Her

Nine months after his marriage to Amal Alammudin, George Clooney continues to gush when asked about his barrister wife.

While promoting his upcoming film Tomorrowland, the 54 year old actor spoke about his wife, "She's an amazing human being. And she's caring. And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I've ever met. And she's got a great sense of humour."

"It's amazing, because she's always - since the day I met her - she's always had this insanely ... it's eccentric but it's fun, sense of fashion."

The actor also admitted that he found Alammudin 'intimidating' when he first met her. When asked about how it was for him while dating the human rights lawyer, Clooney said, "It's always intimidating."

Clooney then goes on to add, "I think it was about three days in I knew she was the one."

"I knew when I met her that she was super­­-extraordinary. I wondered if I would ever get a chance to date her. We were friends for a while and luckily she said, 'yes'."

The famous couple got married in Venice last September.
