The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have named their second-born child, Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, paying tribute to Prince William's late mother, Princess Diana.

Kate Middleton went into labor early Saturday morning. She and her husband, William, arrived at St. Mary's Hospital in London at around 6:00 a.m. London time. Roughly two and a half hours later and no epidural, the royal couple welcomed the little princess, who weighed in at 8lb. 3 oz.

"Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well," Kensington Palace announced. "Members of both families have been informed."

Middleton, 33, reportedly gave birth at 8:34 a.m. GMT with the help of two ladies, midwife Arona Ahmed and Professor of Midwifery, Jacqui Dunkley-Bent. The duo was also a part of Middleton's first birth nearly two years ago.

During the delivery, consultant Guy Thorpe Beeston and his team of doctors, who included Alan Farthing, Dr. Sunit Godambe and Huw Thomas were also present. There was no word on whether or not the delivery was induced.

Less than nine hours after Middleton gave birth, the couple made an appearance with the little princess wrapped up safely in a blanket. Middleton wore a yellow and white Jenny Packham shift dress, Prince William wore a blue sweater and Princess Charlotte had a yellow knitted hood covering her head.

Grandmother Carole Middleton and aunt Pippa Middleton were seen visiting the Princess.

Princess Charlotte is fourth in line for the throne behind her grandfather Prince Charles, father William, and older brother, Prince George.
