Facebook is rolling out a new feature called 'Instant Articles' earlier this month that will let users read content from other publishers without having to browse the external source, according to a report from WSJ.

The report added that the social networking giant is in talks with some of the leading news publishers to host their content directly from Facebook. In return, the company will share a chunk of ad revenues with the ads posted alongside their content.

According to Facebook, faster loading content will motivate users to spend more time on its network.

This new feature, fresh from Facebook's drawing board, will see active users on Facebook reading news feeds from their favourite dailies directly from their timeline, reports suggest.

The company has yet not made it official that what control publishers would have over the 'Instant Articles.'

Earlier this week, Facebook began testing a new feature that would let users prioritize updates from particular friends.

Facebook did not comment on the Journal's report.
