Google has now twitted for the first time, after four years of joining Twitter.

There have been thousands of re-tweet. But the question remains, as to, why has the search giant opted to enter twitter, even after its large break with social networking.

Google Plus has been the search giant's failed attempt at social networking. According to a report, Google's Android chief Sundar Pichai plans to break it up into three main areas, i.e., Photos, Hangouts, and Google+ stream. Google's plan to focus on Hangouts as a separate entity doesn't come as a surprise, given tat the company pulled the plug on GTalk, forcing users to switch to Hangouts.

Google now aims to strengthen the experience of the users of Hangouts and thus providing good competition to other messenger applications. Google has also been sprucing up the Photo app with new refined tools for editing and sharing.

Some big announcements by Google can be expected very soon.
