Google has reportedly discontinued its affordable 7-inch tablet Nexus 7, replacing it with a newer Nexus 9.

The specs and pictures still appear on the product page but the text now declares Nexus 7 is no longer available for purchase.

The Nexus 7 was launched in July 2013 and it remained attractive because of its affordable price and also Google kept it up-to-date with the latest versions of Android.

Google's focus right now is on Nexus 9 that sports 8.9-inch scree, 8MP rear camera and 1.6MP front camera; 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor, Android Lollipop OS and 6,700 mAh battery.

Although, Nexus 7 has been discontinued officially from Google, you can grab one from Amazon.

Walmart's $260 offering appears to be the best price for the 32GB version of the Nexus 7, while Amazon's $165 listing is about as low as the 16GB version is priced for brand new units. Newegg offers its 16GB Nexus 7 at $179, TechTimes noted.
