In a society where youth is considered the standard of beauty, it's refreshing to see Sandra Bullock voted as the "World's Most Beautiful Woman" for 2015 at the age of 50 by People Magazine.

The 50-year-old actress, who voices a supervillain in the upcoming movie "Minions," tops the magazine's list, announced Wednesday.

The 50-year-old just laughed when she learned about the prestigious honor. "No, really. I just said, 'That's ridiculous," said Bullock in an interview with People Magazine. "I've told no one."

"Real beauty is quiet. Especially in this town, it's just so hard not to say, 'Oh, I need to look like that,' " Bullock tells the magazine. "No, be a good person, be a good mom, do a good job with the lunch, let someone cut in front of you who looks like they're in a bigger hurry. The people I find most beautiful are the ones who aren't trying."

Her next role will be in the animated children's movie Minions which hits theatres in July.

Sandra Bullock, who won an Oscar for "The Blind Side," says she's found beauty in her role as mother to her 5-year-old son, Louis.

As a mom, Bullock admits she is wrapped around her son's finger, "but I will never let him know it. We have rules," she says. "I let everyone else be the aunties and uncles who spoil him and I'm the one that lays down the law."
