Mom's Controversial Breastfeeding on Toilet Pic Breaks the Internet
One mother who set out to break the internet divided the online community's opinion over a viral picture of her breastfeeding while using the toilet.
Elisha Wilson Beach, wife of TV actor Michael Beach, shared an image on Instagram and Facebook showing her suckling her toddler with trousers drawn at her ankles and while seated on the toilet seat. Beach drew sharp criticism from many members of the internet community who deemed the act of breastfeeding in the toilet unhygienic. According to Daily Mail, people who saw the photograph and disagreed with Beach, described her act as disgusting and wondered why she had posted the photo for all to see. Some others questioned her methods of multitasking.
However a few others, including many who claimed to be new mothers, supported Beach and said they empathized with her.
"Thank you for posting THE TRUTH about motherhood! I support you, and think you're so courageous for putting it out there for those who think it's easy peasy to be a mom and for those moms full of criticism," one user responded to Beach on Instagram.
