Kayne West is the Most Influential of Them All: TIME Magazine
Kayne West and Harry Potter star Emma Watson topped the list of TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential People of 2015.
West is a recognized cultural icon, known to have made his to the top the hard way. He faced off actors, politicians, businessmen, artists and anybody worth the name to top the list.
"Kanye West would be the first person to tell you he belongs on this list. The dude doesn't believe in false modesty, and he shouldn't. Kanye's belief in himself and his incredible tenacity-he performed his first single with his jaw wired shut-got him to where he is today. And he fought for his place in the cultural pantheon with a purpose. He's not afraid of being judged or ridiculed in the process. Kanye's been playing the long game all along, and we're only just beginning to see why," Elon Musk, CEO of Space X, wrote about West in the magazine.
"Emma Watson's alter ego Hermione Granger would doubtless approve of her HeForShe campaign and its gutsy, smart take on feminism," New York Times's former executive editor Jill Abramson said about Watson.
West's wife Kim Kardashian too made it to the list. Others include Christ Pratt and Reese Witherspoon.
