Sofia Vergara and ex-fiancé Nick Loeb are reportedly fighting over embryos that they froze when they were together, multiple media outlets reported.

According to these reports, Loeb has field a petition to prevent the Latina bombshell from destroying the embryos, which they created via in vitro fertilization roughly six months before they split up in May 2014.

Access Hollywood reported that the court documents stated that the embryos would be thawed and destroyed if either partner die. The documents did not specify what would happen to the embryos if the couple broke up.

"I offered Sofia the option to not destroy them and I offered to waive all parental and financial responsibility and she said she didn't care and would rather destroy them," Nick said to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush.

PerezHilton reported that the lawsuit was filed in California under John Doe, who "seeks to ensure that the Female Embryos are not destroyed, but Jane Doe [Sofia] refuses to agree to their preservation under all circumstances."

A source claimed, "Nick has always wanted to be a father and will do whatever it takes to save these two remaining female embryos. Nick is very emotionally invested in these female embryos because he's pro-life and believes life begins at conception."

The lawsuit was allegedly filed in August 2014 and was updated this month with new information.

Vergara's reps have not commented on the latest story.

Vergara and Loeb started dating in 2010 and got engaged in July 2012. After the couple separated, Vergara was linked to "True Blood" actor, Joe Manganiello. The pair got engaged this past Christmas while on vacation in Hawaii.
