Barry Manilow and longtime manager Garry Kief got married in a private ceremony among limited guests at the singer's Palm Springs California home.

Sources from People said that 20 to 30 guests were invited in the wedding who are all told that they will have a special 'lunch' in the singer's mansion.

"It was a total surprise. When they arrived they were told it was a wedding. Barry has lived a very secretive life and the wedding was no different," a source said as reported by Mirror.

"Barry and Garry did not tell friends or family that the occasion was their wedding," the source further said.

In the ceremony, the Copacabana singer and his manager did not sign any paper works signifying the legality of the bond, however, they are reported to be wearing wedding bands signifying their commitment for each other.

Also, Mirror said that the absence of paper works is intentionally done to avoid leaks of the news.

"They have a great relationship. Garry has always been there for Barry...It was a beautiful wedding and consummated their lifelong love affair."

Barry Manilow's wedding with his male manager may come as a surprise to his fans but news sources said that the singer has never hide or denied his sexual orientation.

"He's at a point now where he's got his career and personal life in a great place and he really doesn't care what people think. He's in love and happy," the source said.

Mirror tried to reach reps from the singer's camp but Victoria Varela, her spokeswoman refused to divulge any information about the wedding.

"We don't comment on my client's personal lives - that is all I am going to say about this."

Meanwhile, Yahoo remembered that the hitmaker was married once in 1966 with his ex-wife Susan Deixler. He filed for annulment two years after their wedding.
