Raymond Frolander was 18 years, and at Daytona Beach, Florida, he was "heavily beaten" by the father of a child that he sexually abused. He has been sentenced to 25 years in a US prison, according to itv.

Beaten till he lost consciousness, he was left with obvious facial bruises and wounds, after he was caught abusing a 11-year-old boy last year.

Livid with anger, the boy's father beat him severely and then called a 911 operator to say: "I just walked in and found a grown man molesting (my child) and I got him in a bloody puddle for you right now. Send an ambulance. He is going to need one."

The father ended the call by saying: "I did whatever I got a right to do, except I didn't kill him," according to the Independent.

The father is not going to face charges of assault, but he later agreed that he would have killed the boy if his son had not stopped him.

The boy said later that he had been playing with friends on the grounds, but once they had all gone, Frolander began to sexually assault him.

This was not the only time he had done it, for Frolander had been abusing him since he was eight years.

According to Daytona Beach police Chief Mike Chitwood, Frolander was "almost like a family member" to his alleged victim and he had groomed his target for a period of time, having sex with the victim on multiple occasions.

Frolander has taken a deal in order to avoid a mandatory life sentence, yet he will be registered as a sex offender for all his life, and will also have to sport a GPS monitor after he is released, NBC News affiliate WESH reported.

Later, the father said: "He's going to learn in the next 25 years why I let him live."
