No More Boot Camp Support For Windows 7 In New MacBooks

If MacBook users had to run Windows operating system on their computers, they have been able to rely on Boot Camp - a tool in OS X that allows a native installation of Windows on a partitioned hard drive. However, if you have bought newer MacBooks recently you won't be able to run Windows 7 via Boot Camp, according to reports.

MacBook maker recently released a new Boot Camp support document detailing that Windows 7 will not be supported on the new laptops. However, Windows 8 and the forthcoming Windows 10 will remain compatible.

Models that don't include the Windows 7 support anymore are: 2015 MacBook Air, the 13-inch model of the 2015 MacBook Pro and 2013 Mac Pro. 2014 iMacs, 2014 MacBook Airs and 2014 MacBook Pros are still compatible.

However, users are still interested in using Windows 7 on their Apple computer can use virtual software such as Parallels and VMware Fusion.

Windows 7 was released five years ago and still remains one of the most used version of Windows operating system, partly thanks to Windows 8 new interface that was not well received.

Microsoft recently announced that Windows 7 and Windows 8 users will get a free upgrade to the new operating system - Windows 10, which is coming this summer.
