Apple Watch is yet to be launched (in April) and its bright future has been predicted. The new smartwatch is expected to be the most popular wearable product to date.

"Right now the wearable industry isn't a full industry yet," says James McQuivey, an analyst with Forrester Research. "Apple is about to give it a level of legitimacy that no one has done yet. This is a very big opportunity."

Apple Watch is the first wearable from Apple that works in conjunction with the iPhone, bringing much of its features on the wrist, including news alerts, incoming texts and e-mails, mapping directions and health information.

McQuivey added that Fitbit, the wearable fitness and sleep trackers that start at $59.95, has been the best-seller to date in the category, with unit sales in the millions.

Pebble, another popular smartwatch has somd more than 1 million of the original watch and recently it launched Pebble Time - first Pebble smartwatch with a color e-Ink display and boasting battery life of seven days.

Google's Android Wear -- watches sold by LG, Samsung Electronics and Motorola, have sold about 750,000 units.

According to McQuivey, this year alone Apple will sell 10 million watches. Other analysts are even more optimistic about Apple Watch, predicting 20 million in the first year.
