Harrison Ford's vintage plane crashed on Penmar golf course near the Santa Monica Airport in Los Angeles as the actor has to make a forced landing because of an 'engine failure.'

As for the actor's condition, Ina Treciokas, publicist for the Star War's actor and Ben Ford, the actor's celebrity-chef-son released separate statements to the press confirming that the actor is okay.

According to E! Online, Ben posted updates about his dad's condition on his Twitter saying "At the hospital. Dad is ok. Battered, but ok! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man."

Another Tweet followed thanking fans who showed concern for the 72-year old actor's condition.

"Thank you all for your thoughts and good vibes for my dad."

A separate report from Reuters also mentioned that the Indiana Jones hero is recovering well and has no serious injuries.

"Harrison was flying a WW2 vintage plane today, which had engine trouble upon take off. He had no other choice but to make an emergency landing, which he did safely. He was banged up and is in the hospital receiving medical care. The injuries sustained are not life-threatening, and he is expected to make a full recovery."

A recording of an audio file from Harrison's plane indicated that the plane had lost losing engine power and that Ford was advised to make 360-degree loops in the air before the forced landing.

Official reports from National Transportation Safety Board also said that the actor attempted to take the runway for his landing but failed until the plane crashed shortly before 2:30 p.m.

A copy of the audio file posted in Just Jared also confirmed that Harrison Ford's flying speed is in 'fair and moderate' condition' before the crash landing.
