A 'talking girlfriend pillow' with a blonde Anime design on it that is said to respond to touch with added verbal responses is currently at bid for 20,000 yen in a crowd-funding site.

Dubbed as Rina Makuraba (whose name is a pun on makura or pillow in Japanese), this extraordinary pillow is said to make alluring sounds when one rubs on the drawing's breasts and crotch area, RocketNews24 reports.

"If you don't rub her, she won't make any sounds. You have to rub her," Japanese researcher Koichi Uchimura explained in the introductory video posted on Youtube.

Rina Makuraba is said to have come from the idea of anime huggy pillows 'dakikamura' that are very popular in Japan. However, Uchimura explained that his pillow is different from the rest as it is equipped with a tactile sensor and at least 500 speech patterns meant to fulfill his desire to have somebody talk to him while he is in bed.

"When we'd sleep in the same bed, I'd start to think, 'I wish she could talk,' so I wanted to make that a reality."

E! Online reports that the talking pillow will groan or moan when touched in the breasts. Further, when touched in her private area, "Rina" will say "No, not there." However, one can see heart marks on the pillow which shows that Rina likes the touch.

In the introductory video, Uchimura explained that not all kinds of touch will arouse Rina. And if one gets too 'grabby' or 'rough', she will get irritated "Hey, that hurts!" or "Hey, hands off!

Further, if one gets too aggressive and gives more bad touch, it might lead Rina not to speak ever again.

To date, Kotaku Australia reported that Rina Makuraba has gathered 81 supporters and has reached 1.6 million yen ($US17,415). People willing to support Rina only has 55 days more to go before the project closes down.
