Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons could be gearing up for war in season five of "Games of Thrones."

HBO has released new promo artwork as well as a few short clips from this upcoming season. The artwork shows one of the dragons with its wings fully extended in the air. The massive, fully grown dragon is very imposing as it looks down to a seemingly calm Tyrion Lannister.

"This suggests we'll see a meeting between Tyrion and Daenerys this season, which might strike readers of the novel series as interesting. We won't put any more out there, for those who want to keep their own pace with learning how both the books and TV series play out, but this definitely ups our already significant curiosity about this new season," Russ Fischer with Slashfilm writes.

According to readers of the books, this particular picture does not relate to any specific scene from the books. However, the promo art does hint to a possible union between Tyrion and Daenerys as allies.

Aside from the artwork, the clips barely reveal much about the show.

In the first clip, Jon Snow talks to Mance Rayder about the threat of the winter. Snow questions Rayder, saying, "You spent your life convincing the clans to come together for the first time in history. A life's work uniting them. You didn't do it for power. You didn't do it for glory. You brought them together to save them. Isn't their survival more important than you pride?"

In the second clip, we see the return of Brienne of Tarth, who starts to question her role in life. She tells her squire, Podrick Payne, "All I ever wanted was to fight for a lord I believed in. The good lords are dead and the rest are monsters."

"Game Of Thrones" Season 5 returns on Sunday, April 12 at 9 p.m. on HBO and HBO Canada.
