Swedish virtual reality developer Starbreeze has recently teamed up with Taiwanese tech giant Acer in making the StarVR headset that compete directly with Facebook’s Oculus Rift and HTC’s Vive. The StarVR headset is reportedly designed for use in ‘location-based entertainment’ or theme parks owing to its outstanding wide field view that increases the immersive depth of VR experience.

Alton Towers is set to open its highly anticipated VR rollercoaster ride on 24 March called ‘Galactica’ as a major alternative ride offering since the June crash last year. Meanwhile, the theme park also reopened its main rollercoaster ride on Saturday amid protests over safety concerns.
