Gone are the days when memory cards came in the capacity of 8GB, 16GB and so on. SanDisk, in the ongoing MWC, has unveiled a new 200GB microSD card.

Putting the 200GB capacity in perspective, the memory is enough to record 20 hours of 1080p videos.

The card is UHS-I rated which means moving files wont take nearly as long. The card offers transfer speed of 90MBps - which is approximately 1,200 photos per minute.

As an added bonus feature, the card is water proof, temperature proof, shock proof, magnet proof and even X-ray proof.

Price

The new 200GB microSD card from SanDisk will become available worldwide in Q2 for $400. The card also features a ten-year limited warranty.

"We continue to push technology boundaries to deliver record-breaking solutions that transform the way consumers use their mobile devices," said Dinesh Bahal, vice president, product marketing, SanDisk, in the press release. "By focusing on achieving new capacity and speed milestones, we are able to deliver trusted mobile memory solutions that give consumers the freedom to never stop capturing, saving, or sharing - with the benefit of fast speeds to transfer it all quickly."
