After a week of confinement at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, American Horror Story actor Ben Woolf, finally let go of his last breath due to a head injury and stroke. The injuries are said to have been the result of an accident when the actor was hit by a car last week.

"We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all over the world for our beloved Ben. He touched so many hearts in his 34 years. His memory will live on within each of us and within his work," the American Horror Story family released a statement this week expressing their grief as reported by E! Online.

"Ben was one-of-a-kind, and will never be forgotten. The time we all shared together will be remembered forever," Ben's agency, ZPTR, through his publicist, said.

Ryan Murphy also expressed his condolences on his social media when he heard the news saying, RIP "Ben Woolf. One of the most inspirational people I've ever met."

According to Mirror, the report first came out from TMZ saying that the 34-year old actor received a blow from a side mirror of a car that hit his head. The accident happened on Thursday night when the actor tried to cross a street in Hollywood.

Further TMZ said that the police did not issue a ticket for the car's driver as the actor is said to have been walking in the wrong direction and is 'jaywalking.'

Variety recalls Ben Woolf's participation in the movie industry particularly on his first ever appearance in the FX anthology series in its first season with his role as Infantata.

He also appeared on the series "Freak Show" and has participated in five episodes.
