Afroman singer was arrested in Biloxi, Mississippi concert at the Kress Live venue on Tuesday night when he punched an unidentified female fan who came up on stage while he is performing. Aside from the police arrest, the singer will also be paying a fine of $330.

A video footage from TMZ recorded Afroman's performance with his guitar when a woman came up from the background and started to dance with him.

Without much reason, the singer, whose real name is Joseph Foreman, is seen turning to the woman and giving her a right-hand punch straight at her face. The woman is seen lying down after the punch but the singer continued his song number.

Booing from the fans can be heard in the video. Further, witnesses also claimed that the woman is crying and her face bleeding from the punch.

In a report from NBC News, the singer's rep released a statement saying "This was a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space. It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces."

Billboard further added that the singer's rep pointed out other factors such as the lack of security at the venue and Afroman's nature of having difficulty dealing with fans that triggers the singer's misbehavior.

However, on Wednesday, the 40-year old singer posted a curt and detached statement on his Twitter page saying, "It is what it is."

In a later post cited by CBS News, Afroman posted a public apology about the incident on his social media. This time, the announcement said: "I apologize for my actions. I will be making a full formal apology and excepting full responsibility for my actions. I will address everything today on TMZ at 2 o'clock eastern time."

In TMZ's Live Interview with the singer via CBS News, the rapper expressed his remorse for striking the woman and is considering going to rehab for anger management.
