Free agent Ray Allen could soon be rejoining the league. Several media reports have cited sources stating that the veteran plans on making a decision on whether or not he will return for a 19th season during the All-Star break.

Although Allen, 39, has not played any professional basketball this season, he has continued to stay in shape and has been doing on-court work. Allen has reportedly kept his options open as well and could possibly take meetings with several teams during this upcoming weekend.

According to ESPN.com, the teams that have contacted Allen and his representatives include the Washington Wizards, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers, Atlanta Hawks and his old team, the Miami Heat.

During the offseason, LeBron James, Mike Miller and James Jones all tried to get Allen to sign with the Cavaliers. Allen, however, was still deciding between playing and retiring at that time. LeBron reportedly met Allen again when he was rehabbing his knee in January.

"Of course we'd love for Ray to continue to play with us," Jones had said back in August. "Hopefully he makes the decision that's best for him and hopefully it's a decision to continue to play."

Despite the push by former teammates, Brian Windhorst with ESPN.com noted that the Hawks could be Allen's choice if he decides to come back.

Windhorst wrote, "The Hawks, however, have become more of a contender as they have developed into the Eastern Conference leader. Unlike the Cavs -- who play a tight eight-man rotation that excludes veterans like Miller, Jones and Shawn Marion -- the Hawks have a need for an additional wing player, as Thabo Sefolosha is out up to two months with a calf injury. Atlanta is a high-volume 3-point-shooting team that plays more to Allen's style. Atlanta is also closer to his family in Miami."

If Allen decides to return to the NBA, his role for any team could make a huge difference. Allen averages 18.9 points per game with a field goal shooting percentage of a .452 and a three-point shooting percentage of a .400 in his long career.

Allen has won two championships, one with the Boston Celtics in 2009 and the other one with the Heat in 2013.
