The premiere episode of "Bones" Season 12 already revealed the puppeteer's identity. Zack (Eric Millegan) has been proven to be innocent in the first episode. The upcoming episode may focus on Hodgins (TJ Thyne) and the realization that he may not walk again.
"Bones" Season 12 Episode 2 is titled 'The Brain in the Bot.' The upcoming episode will have Hodgins and Angela (Michaela Conlin) cope up about the fact that Hodgins may be forever unable to walk for the rest of his life. He stays in a wheelchair and tries to keep his life exciting.
Brennan (Emily Deschanel) and his team will deal with an Artificial Intelligence (AI) bot that is specifically made to kill its creator in the second episode of "Bones" Season 12. Additionally, Brennan's 40th birthday is fast approaching and it seems that there is going to be a big surprise.
It can be recalled that the premiere episode of "Bones" Season 12 revealed the alter ego of Zack as the puppeteer. Angela also received the saddest news that Hodgins may never walk again and will forever be physically challenged.
Co-showrunner Michael Peterson shares in a report on why Zack has lived up to "Bones" Season 12. He notes that as a fan of the series since the first to the third season the team agreed on keeping Zack and has fans remember him as a good person and not a killer. They played with the storyline and kept Zack innocent.
Peterson started working in the series during Season 4 and kept the storyline unfolding with twists. He also revealed that Zack's character will be in the story until episode 11 of "Bones" Season 12. Hodgins also remains to be in a wheelchair according to Peterson to make it more realistic. He states that people who are physically challenged can still live a full life.
